Nintendo plans to use the same way to success with the DS as
with the Game Boy Advance. That means several optimized
versions and redesigns over the course of the console's
life-span.

The information about DS game system presented here will do
one of two things: either it will reinforce what you know
about DS game system or it will teach you something new.
Both are good outcomes.

As you can perhaps recall, the Game Boy Advance was first
made slightly more compact with the redesigned GBA SP, and
later on even more compact with the Game Boy Micro. This
time around, Nintendo will first introduce the DS Lite as a
smoother and more compact version of the DS. According to
The Reggienator, Mr. Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo of
America, this version will also be redesigned within the
next 18 months. It is Nintendo's strategy to constantly
innovate its products, he says.

Don't limit yourself by refusing to learn the details about
DS game systems. The more you know, the easier it will be to
focus on what's important.
